Visit to the 'Teddy Bear's Hospital'.
On Thursday the 16th of January, the children from Senior Infants and Junior Infants spent a lovely day visiting the Teddy Bear's Hospital. The children all brought a sick teddy or cuddly animal for the doctors (medical students at the University of Galway) to examine. There were all sorts of ailments on the day! Luckily, the doctors at the university were well prepared with lots of bandages and plasters. There was even a special x-ray machine to help the poor toys with broken bones.
Before the children spoke with the doctors, they had lots of fun playing on an enormous tractor shaped bouncy castle. They played the 'Operation Game', snacked on fruit and did some moves on the disco floor! It was an amazing experience and a day that was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
