Baby Chicks at Monivea!

We were very excited to be able to view first hand the hatching of chicks at school. The children experienced 'Candling eggs' with a torch to observe the development of the embryo inside. There was a number of different types of chicks and the children thoroughly enjoyed watching them grow. The process informed our writing of the Life Cycle of the Hen.
