 The Senior Infant class has had a busy start to the year, adjusting to their new teacher, new classroom and new routines. The first few weeks have involved revision of some of the work from Junior Infants, lots of stories, going over the school rules and getting used to their new teacher! 

We have been working on our fine motor skills with lots of different activities, writing our letters using different mediums and also trying to spell words using our letters.

We were moving like different animals during P.E and have also been working on our balance and coordination skills.

Our Aistear theme this month was Construction, so we all had a turn to design and create a building using wooden blocks, dressed up in the role-play area, played with the doll's house, used lots of tools to do some important DIY work, and constructed towers and buildings using lego and other blocks.

In Maths, we have been revising our numbers 0 - 5, we practiced matching and sorting through games and activities. We have also been making the numbers 0 - 5 using matchsticks, lollipop sticks and cubes!
